OK, the forum seems to be a bit quiet at the moment. I've been kinda busy with the new site so thought id make a post about the new applications on bebo to get people talking a bit more...

I'm sure everyone has seen them. Bebo has taken on the facebook applications idea to encourage developers to copy their facebook apps onto bebo (and make new ones). Personally i think they are a bit crap at the moment for reasons such as...

1. The current apps are pretty crap
2. Most of them dont actually work
3. Bebo released it too soon before fully testing the applications
4. There isnt enough developers making new (decent) applications

but.... i do, however, think that the apps are a very good idea, and in a few weeks when bebo and the developers sort out some issues and fix the apps, they will be alot better. And with the success of a new apps, new developers will get interested and start to make more applications which we can use.

oh... but the invites and notifications are ridiculas. Have a look at what i get...

Confirm Friend Stories (Over 40,000 friends to write about, no thanks)
New Friend Requests (woop woop)
New Invite Requests (Annoying)
6610 New App Notifications (Crashes my browser when trying to load them lol)
131 New App Invitations (Just annoying really)

So, get rid of the annoying invites and notifications. Get some more decent apps, fix the errors and Bebo Applications will be awsome. I look forward to seeing them

Let me know your views

Brucey

yea i gota agree with you bro..

Bebo Apps are just annoying..
i wouldnt mind them so much if it wasnt for the fact that am getting hundreds of invites!! argh
bebo should at least get rid of the invites for both apps AND group invites.

i liked the group invites for the first few days, but now it is just silly i am getting heaps of invites aye
i say get rid of them right away.

bebo is putting out some bad things lately but i must say i like the new layout

Yer i agree with Easdale, Pokey is okay. But the "Funwall" and other things like that are too big and make your Bebo look shit.

"342 New App Notifications
112 New App Invitations"

They wont go away!!! :argh:

But Bebo backstage is getting hell from people who dont like them in comments.
Its just like when they made that "Real Names" thing.

Everyone gets annoyed at first but then they just get used to it.

Some of the apps are fun, like the arcade games/crackman, but the fun wears out after a while, and some of the current quizzes are fun, but I liked Bebo as it was, but I guess it has to keep on changing to bring more people in, and to keep current members entertained. Also, the fact that you can't block invites (as far as I know, haven't really looked/checked), thats annoying to see on the homepage, 'You have 40-something app invites' and whatnot.

you can block invites:) 1 of the 3 or 4 options when looking at the invitation is block from this app :)
