I thought I would make a new topic just for updates on the development of the new bebobox site.

Me and Easdale developed the current bebobox site and got it created by a freelancer. That was all fine. But today is a new day and bebobox is having a make over.

We will be completly re-designing the site, new logo, template, everything.

I will re-write all the pages to make the most up-to-date, bebobox hasnt really been updated much the past few months. The new site will have everything related to bebo.

Here are a few ideas I wrote down for the site:

- Better usability
- Easier browsing/searching of skins
- Easier to submit skins and become a skin maker
- Up-to-date bebo info and resources
- New logo/template
- Bebo News (and keep it updated with the latest)
- Top Bebo Profiles (luv, profile views, friends etc..)
- SEO - dynamic meta tags, skins categories injected into URLs and titles
- Add comments to skins
- Skin moderators - to approve, rate and add keywords to skins
- Better skin make pages
- Top skinners
- better category menu
- search feature that actually works ( )
- Bebo bots section
- Bebo cheats - updated
- intergration into site of - text convertor - Upside Down Text - Bebo Text Maker
- profile of the week (comp winners, good skinner, whatever)
- Bebo apps section
- 'How to make a good profile' page
- 'FAQs' page
- Real time BeboBox stats - total skins, total skins makers, users online


These were a couple of ideas I came up with. Mostly re-desiging the current site.

If you have any suggestions, please feel free to add them here. Im currently writing up the specification, so get ur comments in quick. Anything you would wanna see new or something better.

Commenting on skins?
Maybe create a bebobox group/member profile on bebo. Upload a preview of each skin to the profile's photo albums.
Then have the commenting section on bebobox post the comments to the profile's photo albums by way of <form action=imageurl> or whatever.

More exposure/a section for apps would also be good.

some idiot uploaded the image wrong which made a php error when showing the 'latest skins' block so it wouldn't display anything. I deactivated that block and then removed the skin from the database. All ok now

Should look great when done dude.

The new site can't PHail much more than the current one anyway, I suppose :P

i dunno if it is possible or not but how about the user can change teh whole skin of the site that only the user can see ? just a wacky idea throwing it out there ? because some people may not liek the skin just wondering

still picking your own skin i thinks thats pretty good idea if possible
