how do you Save in Vb2008

Okay I have made a couple of things in vb2008 and this may sound stupid but does anyone know how to save the stuff i've made as an application/program
 I clicked build and then it saved to my desktop but when I open the stuff this internet thing comes up saying install and it does that all the time when i open something and when i click save all and open stuff i made it opens up in vb2008 lol i really want to no._________________ •••• |

Save Or Build
Save = File > Save Form1.vb As Or File > Save All Build = Build > Build WindowsApplication1 Or Build > Publish WindowsApplication1 _________________ |

yeh i allready tried but when i save all and I try to open the thing I made it opens but it opens in vb2008 and when I build it opens this internet thing and it installs it I just want my stuff like everyone elses where you just open run use
