Help Cant Delete A Folder!

i was playing around with my desktop lastnight i renamed this folder to the center bebo text space thing, now i cant delete it,move it into another folder,rename it.

ill try the cmd one now, i just did

| lol your command prompt is pointing to "system32" while mine is pointing to my user directory.. thats why i just needed to enter "\Desktop<name>" ...
sory dude i dont know much about vista.. helped all i could p.s did you try making a batch file to delete that folder _________________

no havent tried making a batch folder, what do i type in notepad?

often have this problem.
Sometimes, for no reason at all, a folder or file (especially large videos, etc.) will be undeletable or unmovable from explorer for no apparent reason. Disable all services, close all programs, sill says it's in use. Thought it was system restore, so I disabled that...still no effect. F5 and restarting don't seem to work, but there is something that does... command line! del and move work just fine on these crazy files/folders. You can even open up a prompt, type "delete " and drag the file/folder onto the prompt, no need to type the location/name. Top |

Sorry For The Double Post. But i have a new plan.
Even though you are the system admin... you still might not have "ownership" of the file/folder. Go To This link on the microsoft help topics...http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=308421 It tells you how to take ownership and delete these painfully annoying files. Top |
